OneDrive Setup (Recommended for Windows 11)

  1. Click the OneDrive icon in the taskbar and launch the initial setup wizard.
  2. Sign in with your Microsoft account. If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription, 1 TB of storage is automatically provisioned.
  3. During the wizard, choose the folders you want to sync. You can later adjust selections via Help & Settings > Settings > Account > Choose folders.
  4. After the wizard completes, open Settings again, go to the Backup tab, and enable Manage backup for Desktop, Documents and Pictures to protect those key folders.
  5. To add another Microsoft account, click Help & Settings > Settings > Account > Add account and repeat the sign‑in steps.
  6. Access your OneDrive folder by clicking the OneDrive icon and selecting Open folder. Files placed here sync automatically.
  7. Right‑click a folder and choose Always keep on this device to make it available offline.

If you experience sync problems, see the OneDrive not syncing article.

Google Drive Setup

  1. Visit the official download page at https://www.google.com/drive/download and download Drive for desktop.
  2. Run the installer and follow the on‑screen prompts.
  3. Open the Google Drive application and sign in with your Google account.
  4. Click the Google Drive icon in the taskbar, select Preferences, and choose which folders to sync to your computer.

Dropbox Setup

  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/download and download the desktop app.
  2. Install the application by following the installer instructions.
  3. Open Dropbox and sign in with your existing account or create a new one.
  4. Files placed in the Dropbox folder sync automatically to the cloud.

  2. Select Share or Get link.
  3. Send the generated link to the intended recipients.
