General Setup Process
Step 1: Download the App
Most devices need their own app:
- Search in Microsoft Store or download from device website
- Or search "Philips Hue app," "TP-Link app," etc.
Step 2: Create Account
1. Open the app
2. Sign up for an account
3. Verify your email if required
Step 3: Put Device in Pairing Mode
- Check the device manual
- Usually involves pressing a button
- Look for blinking lights
Step 4: Connect to Wi-Fi
1. Make sure your phone/tablet is on your home Wi-Fi
2. Follow in-app instructions
3. Device connects to your Wi-Fi network
Step 5: Connect to Voice Assistants (Optional)
